Special Guidelines: One (and only one) of the leaders you choose for this essay must be from the reading you just completed: Kwame Nkrumah; Jomo Kenyatta, Desmond Tutu; F.W. DeKlerk; or Nelson Mandela. The other leader can be any leader we have studied this year. Use your class notes and textbook to find evidence to support your essay. Any essay that includes material directly copied from the internet (even one sentence!) will receive a score of zero! Theme: Change Throughout history, the actions of leaders have changed the society in which they lived. Task: Identify two leaders who changed the society in which they lived and for each • Describe one situation the leader attempted to change • Describe one action the leader took to change this situation • Discuss the impact of that action on the society in which the leader lived You may use any leader from your study of global history and geography.
