Remember: The two big differences about this year's Global Regents Exam are: 1) 30 multiple choice instead of 50; and 2) only 10th grade material will be covered! Materials from previous Regents exams are available online at: http://www.nysedregents.org/globalhistorygeography/. When using these for Multiple Choice prep, remember to start at or around question 17-19 (where 10th Grade questions start!). There are lots of fun and useful study materials for the Regents available for free on the internet. One good place to start is YouTube. I'll be showing some videos in class. Explore on your own, and let me know when you find something amazing! I like the YouTube videos created by a teacher named Mr. Klaff. Check out his website and YouTube videos: http://www.mrklaff.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-O1XVDklBI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1hr7C943ss Several students have mentioned to me that they found Crash Course videos to be very useful. Here's a link to one about the French Revolution-- there are many more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTTvKwCylFY Here are some other videos are also fun for multiple choice practice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiZ-X_Jqnjk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_v2R9RN7mA If you have kept an organized binder throughout the year, you have several other study materials at your disposal:

Students entering grades 10 to 12 can apply to take part in a unique, year-long, afterschool program that offers a behind-the-scenes look into the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Ambassadors examine artifacts and explore ongoing themes and issues raised by 9/11. They also gain professional experience by helping with hands-on activities for young visitors and their caregivers. Finally, ambassadors write artifact talks and learn how to present them to Museum visitors.
Students who successfully complete the program earn a $1,000 stipend. Transportation costs are covered for all participants. The application deadline is June 29, 2018. Applications can be completed online here. For additional information about the Museum Ambassador Program, please visit 911memorial.org/museum-ambassador-program or email [email protected]. |
