For each, write out the word, the definition, and a sentence that uses the word. Choose regular words, not social studies key terms that are boldfaced in the text. 2) What is Fascism? Label the columns Political, Economic, and Social. Take notes into the chart. 7) How were the policies of Mussolini and Hitler similar? How were they different? Explain. 8) What other countries became dictatorships during this time period? Why did these countries fall to dictators while countries like Britain and France remained democracies? Explain 9) Creative Response: Pretend you are a teenager living in Fascist Italy or Germany. How would your life be different than it is today?
